My name is Timur Gökce, a Berlin resident since 2012, with a degree in Scandinavian Studies. Job-wise I work in the world of media (mainly radio, podcasts, TV).

For more than half of my life I've been doing analogue photography. The life and people of the nocturnal cities around the world are my preferred themes. For this I use the following cameras: my reflex camera Nikon FM2 and my compact camera Rollei 35SE (both 35mm cameras) plus my medium format camera  Mamiya 645M (6 x 4,5 cm).

Due to my preference for nighttime settings, I generally use the 35mm film Kodak T-Max P3200. For sunny or cloudy weather I use Kodak T-Max 100 and ILFORD HP5 Plus 400. As medium format film (120) I use for nighttime ILFORD Delta 3200 and in the day time ILFORD Delta 100.

Since the end of 2018 I've started to develop my own films and prints in a darkroom. The work at the photo lab fills me with joy, as every developed print brings back beautiful memories and moments. The lab is also a haven of tranquility, where I am creative and can relax.

I've been a member of the Neukölln collective Fotografie Berlin e.V. since February 2020.
